About RehabTruth
Why this exists
If you search for a rehab, most of what you find is advertising. Many “directories” and hotlines are paid placements or lead-generation businesses that sell your call to whoever pays the most. That is a terrible way to choose care for a substance-use disorder, and it is often invisible to the person searching.
RehabTruth is the opposite. We collect information that is already public — the federal treatment locator, accreditation records, public review ratings — put it in one place, and show it plainly. No center can pay to be included, ranked higher, or hidden. There is nothing to buy here.
What we are
- Independent. We have no relationship with any treatment center, chain, or referral network.
- Non-commercial. No fees from facilities, no paid listings, no sold leads, no ads.
- An aggregator of open data. Everything we show is sourced and attributed. See how we work and where the data comes from.
- Not medical advice. We help you compare and find options. Decisions about care belong to you and a qualified clinician.
What we are not
We do not run a helpline that routes you to a paying “partner.” We do not write, edit, or buy reviews. We do not accept payment to add, remove, or re-order a center. If that ever changes, this page will say so first.
